On the 10th September 2015, Ani-Culture was invited to the STGCC 2015 media preview at the new DC Comics Heroes Cafe Singapore at Marina Bay Sand The Shoppes. This preview also marks the first time that the cafe is hosting a private event. This year will be the 8th STGCC and biggest one yet with a lot of exclusive goods lined up.
STGCC aims to draw a huge crowd of 45 000 fans to the event with its massive lineup, featuring a highly-anticipated line-up of 29 illustrious comic, toy, anime, cosplay and game personalities from the East and West. Fans will be able to meet their idols in person at the Walk of Fame and get an intimate look into their creative processes at panel sessions on stage.
An exhilarating range of STGCC exclusives awaits visitors this year, including collectibles from local and international toy artists in celebration of Singapore’s 50th birthday, one-of-a-kind pieces from 180 Artist Alley participants, and the latest offerings from 240 exhibitors, in the largest turnout in STGCC history.
At the preview, there was a showcase of exclusive merchandise that will be on sale for the event as well as some information on what this year STGCC will be about.
Another special thing about this year is that STGCC will be doing its part for charity.
As you all know this year is the 50th year of Singapore thus STGCC is having a collaboration with some of the local and international artists to bring you some SG50 exclusive goods. With 7 Munnies customised and handmade by Singapore-based artists in celebration of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee will be available for bidding, with all proceeds going to Club Rainbow, a charity dedicated to helping children with chronic illnesses and life-threatening conditions, and their families. Also at the preview, we were lucky to be able to witness one of STGCC guest, Adam Hughes work on a fan commission work at the media preview itself.
Also check out some of our previous media releases on STGCC for more information on the guest and also exclusive merchandises.
For Ani-Culture, this is also the first time we are at this cafe. The atmosphere is quite unique. There was also quite a lot of display for limited merchandises for display that were sadly not for sale.
We were also treated to some of the unique refreshment that are available at the cafe itself.
For DC fans, this is a must go cafe for you guys. We hope to head down for dinner service for a review sometime!
