For the first time at the Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention (STGCC), Artist Alley – a space dedicated to showcase the works of up-and-coming artists – has been completely snapped up three months prior to the show in September.
This edition of STGCC will see more than 160 participants at Artist Alley filling the show with colourful pop culture offerings, with 33 new booths making their STGCC Artist Alley debut.
Ms. Rita Magnus, Senior Manager of the Pop Culture Cluster at Reed Exhibitions, organiser of STGCC, said: “The sold-out status and the number of newcomers at Artist Alley are very encouraging for us, and we are thrilled by the increasing number of people who recognise our show as an effective conduit that reaches out to the pop culture-loving crowd. This definitely serves as a strong testament to our show’s quality and reputation among the pop culture fraternity.”
Artist Alley is the crucible of creativity, a staple for comic conventions all over the world like San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con. With participants from countries like Singapore, Korea, China, Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines, visitors can expect to see a kaleidoscope of art forms at the STGCC Artist Alley – from works of independent artists brimming with their individualistic styles, to cross-country collaborations that bring exciting products from collisions of creativity to the table.
