Comifest is back for it’s third outing, in December 2012. This time in conjunction with License 2 Play to be held on the 7th to 9th of December 2012 at the Marina Bay Sand, Sand Expo and Convention Center Hall E.

This time around, there is a planned showing of local and international artist from Malaysia, Indonesia, Germany, Australia and more. A new digital comics titled Comixmag will also be released at the event, publishing local talents found in a Singapore wide call for submission.

Another highlight will be the Artist booths, selling their artworks and wares at the event.

Needless to say, will also be there to cover the event and bring you latest on the event. I’ll also be attending another event very near by, so glad it’s all around the area~ Ya?

ComiFest 2012: Breaking new ground in Local Digital Comics!

Comics Society (Singapore) (CSS) presents the special 3rd edition of the highly popular ComiFest event– ComiFest 2012 @ License 2 Play!

In conjunction with CSS’s 5th anniversary, the event will showcase the very best of local and overseas talent! Highlights include Official Premieres for Singapore’s first Interactive comic mobile application

Mini TCZ and first online comic magazine ComixMag! Also exclusive MiniTCZ giveaways while stocks last!

 Spearheading this series of Firsts is Mini TCZ, a comic you can read, watch, and play!

MiniTCZ boldly integrates Animation, Comics and Games (ACG) to bring readers a whole new interactive comics experience.

Local comics master Mr Wee Tian Beng’s newest work for year 2013- MiniTCZ combines superb visual effects with light hearted story telling and adorable characters to bring viewers into a fantasy world with limitless room for imagination. In addition to reading the Mini TCZ comics, readers can gain extra insights into the characters and stories through watching mini animations and playing an app game.

To celebrate the launch of Mini TCZ, a limited-print Commemorative MiniTCZ stamp set will be given away to lucky visitors at ComiFest 2012@License 2 Play! Featuring the vividly colored artwork of Mini TCZ and beautifully packaged in a customized sleeve, this is a must have for both collectors and public!

CSS pays tribute to the craft of Comics art as well in an Original Comics Art Exhibition.

Featuring works from the World Student Digital Art Tree with winning original artworks from China, Japan and Korea and Goethe Institut’s City Tales Blog comic contributed by artists from Germany, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines and Thailand.

Local talents are not forgotten! ComiFest rounds off with the official launch of ComixMagSingapore’s FIRST ever digital comic magazine!

Bringing together works from the brightest new talents selected through nation wide open submissions, this bilingual digital magazine is produced with the support of Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA).

Top Local artist who are taking part in the Original Comics Art Exhibition at ComiFest 2012 will also be having their own booths to meet fans, autograph their works and sell limited edition of their art products!
