This November, 2012, Minami Kuribayashi is coming to Singapore on Sun the 11 Nov at the AFA 2012 Diamond Stage!

As a long lasting fan of the Muv Luv and Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien series, it is like a dream come true!

Minami Kuribayashi (栗林みな実 Kuribayashi Minami), born June 11, 1976) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and voice actress (seiyū) from Shizuoka prefecture. Her bloodtype is AB, and her nickname is Kurinoko (栗の子). She is a well-known singer in the anime community, having written the lyrics and sung theme songs for popular animations like Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (Rumbling Hearts), Mai Hime, Mai-Otome, Super Robot Wars OG: Divine Wars, Infinite Stratos, Medaka Box, and most recently Muv Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse. She is also part of Sound Horizon, the mystical fantasy musical group.

Her career in game and anime was brought to fame in her role as the voice of Haruka Suzumiya in Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, and the composition and performance of the theme songs in the series, which touched the hearts of many. Her single “Precious Memories” for the serie’s animated version opening theme song in 2003 had a high ranking of 17th place on the Oricon charts for 13 weeks. Minami has also done Voice Acting roles in School Days (Minami Obuchi) and Mai Otome (Erstin Ho).

She has played a large role in the visual novel series of Muv Luv, a school romance story which turns into an alien invasion mecha war drama. Minami has performed songs for the series since 2002, with her first single “Muv-Luv” which was the theme song for the first game. She has since produced more than 10 theme and insert songs for the franchise, as well as being the VA for Kasumi Yashiro.

Minami’s most recent releases are for the currently airing mecha action animation Muv Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse: the ending theme “Signs~Sakugetsu Ichiya~”, insert song “True 4 Eyes” and the upcoming new opening theme: “Doubt the World”
