I’m Bored: TED Speaker’s Worst Nightmare…

In fact thou… that might be the worst nightmare for all speakers, especially when you only have 5 minutes to showcase what might be your company’s next big thing.

Or during something like the AFA’s Cool Japan Forum.

So what is TED? It’s actually a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting and bringing great ideas to materialization. In short, it’s much like Danny Choo’s latest project with the Japanese Government, Mazer.

They originally is meant to bring together the people from different industries namely the, Technology, Entertainment and Design field since 1984. Now they are a platform for the the start-ups, Innovation leaders and inventors to showcase their ideas and hopefully get either get funding or other support from the industry.

In fact there have been many successful innovations since and most of the recent talks have been post online via their Youtube accounts for wider audiences.

Here are some of the better TED Talks from 2011,

Jennifer Pahlka: Coding a better government

Susan Cain: The power of introverts
