According to reports, the Hollywood version of the animated feature AKIRA has stopped it’s pre-production, with it’s production office in Vancouver closed.
The director, Jaume Collet-Serra, that replaced Albert Hughes and the films producer will meet in the next weeks to decide whether to continue producing the film.
Reports have it that the budget have already been halved to 90 million dollars and it might face a further cut in budget with a revised script or screenplay if it continues.
