Over the weekend, a bunch of us cross over to Johor Bahru, Malaysia, for a little trip. On Ken0601’s insistence we went to Ah soon Bak Kut Teh.

Well my take is…

Did you see the hot steaming meat~

The meat is steamingly delicious, tender and yet chewy at the same time, our party of 7 managed to finish 2 big pots of it as well as 2 pots of Chicken.

Unlike the soup in Singapore, the soup there have almost no trace of pepper, either that or it’s very well controlled. It tastes so good that we finished the soup as well.

Not to say that Singapore has no good Bak Kut teh, but I have very often been disappointed by Singapore’s produces, it’s either too much pepper or no taste at all. Been like this since 3 or 4 years ago…

Anyway, seeing how delicious it is, I went to the front of the open concept kitchen, to see how it’s prepared. It only made it more appealing~

Yes, you did not see wrongly, they are using charcoal to cook the food for max effect. I won’t mind going back there for some yummy bak kut teh soon~

Our bill for 7 persons is, RM$130+, and we ate like… a lot~ XD
