AKB48’s 風は吹いている, Kaze Wa Fuiteiru, their 23rd and latest Single is released today and once again they have broken the record again in Oricon’s daily charts.

Out of the 1.6 million reportedly shipped, 1.045 million copies are sold on the first day. This number of cause includes preorders and Flying gets.

This number is an improvement of the previous record also by AKB48 for Flying Get( 22nd single), which scored a total of 1.026 million copies on day 1 and 1.57 million sold so far.

Similar AKB48 have achieved a new high of 5 consecutive singles selling more than a million this year. Starting from Sakura No Kininarou(Feb, 1.02mil),  Everyday Kachusha(May, 1.52mil), Flying Get(Aug, 1.57mil) and now Kaze Wa Fuiteiru. In short, all their singles released this year sold more than a million copies.

Btw, Kaze Wa Fuiteiru literally means “The Wind is Blowing” or “When the wind blows”

Kaze Wa Fuiteiru is now on sale all Japanese CD shops and Online stores, example, CDJAPAN, if you like SKE48’s M.Jurina. Sorry to disappoint… but it seems M.Jurina got blown away too~

My personal review of the Single will come in a bit, after all this single really redefined AKB48 quite a bit.
