If you are going to the Tokyo Anime Festival but was thinking twice after the mentioning of the boycott by the 11 publishers, you can now start planing forgetting that trip and head instead to Chiba!

Nope not for the A-Fes which is also planed for on that 26th and 27th of March.

But the Anime Content Expo, to be held at the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex in Chiba, Tokyo’s neighbor and just a train ride away. The 11 publishers who have expressed their intention to boycott the Tokyo Anime Festival will be the ones organising the event.

Their reason for organising the event, is so for the companies who boycotted the TAF can have a platform to showcase their products for the upcoming year.

This is definitely not some small scale event as the Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex is also the location of Tokyo Game Show… … Yup, in name. It’s also the previous location of the Comic Market before they relocated to the Tokyo Big Sight, the location for Wonderfes,

Currently the company confirmed to attending ACE are, Aniplex, ANIMATE, Kadokawa Shoten, King Records, Geneon Universal Entertainment Japan, Frontier Works, Marvelous Entertainment, and Media Factory.

Which will pretty much fills the hall with very nice stuff to look at.

Name: Anime Content Expo
What is it?: An expo for publishers and animation companies to showcase their upcoming productions
When?: 26th and 27th of Feburary
Where?: Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex, Chiba

No need to say, this is an event definitely to piss off those idiots in the office. And going around the rules set by the new Youth Ordinances that allows the Tokyo Government to ban anything they seem harmful to the youth…

In the future, the Comic Market might also have to relocate back to Makuhari Messe, since what they are selling don’t seem to be too healthy… In the eyes of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
