Another part of my release filled October, today’s arrival is the long awaited Macross F:Itsuwari no Utahime hybrid pack. To be honest, this is probably the very first time I have seen a BD movie released with a game concurrently on the same BD media.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the luxury of owning a PS3, so I can’t say much for the game, though the images looks promising. However, my rig is able to play the movie as per normal without many problems despite having the game on the very same disc.
Shall not spoil so much on the movie for those who have yet to see it, and since its aired last November, a good scour through Google will probably show what happened in the movie in detail. What I can say its, in terms of eye candy, its a big WOW be it Sheryl’s concert performance or the battle scenes. And I can’t wait for the 2nd part of this movie series, which will be aired in Japan next February.
The hybrid pack is available for order at cdjapan.

I was wondering, is the movie playable with ps3 from other region aside from Japan? Like Singapore ps3 for example.
yes, fyi, Singapore along with southeast asia shares the same region code as the Americas and Japan so most if not all of the Blu-rays can be used with a Singapore PS3 or Blu-ray players.
So feel free to buy/import the blu-rays from America or Japan as long as they are Region A or Not Region coded(China).

Have fun. Now back to my Ironman 2 Blu-ray. =D
P.S: Maybe i should write an article about buying Blu-rays.

@jibo, Singapore is in the same BD region as Japan, so you can buy BDs from Japan and play it via your PS3 bought locally.
Ah, I see.
I was afraid that the Macross F movie won’t play on my ps3. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
